A newly released volume of The Phantom is currently available for pre-order, issued by the German publisher Edition Comics & Mehr. This new volume continues the adventures of the Phantom, reprinting adventures illustrated by German artist Heiner Bade.

This comic book marks the second edition in their Phantom comic book series which was launched earlier this year titled “Phantom: Die Heiner Bade Collection”. This release is a 72-page hardcover volume measuring 29.5cm x 21cm and presented in full color with German text. It’s scheduled for release in October 2026 at a retail price of €22.00.

This second edition will feature two Phantom comic strip adventures, both written by Claes Reimerthi and illustrated by Heiner Bade. These stories are entitled “In the Shadow of the Guillotine” and “Power of the Skull Mark”. The front cover of this edition is presented below containing an illustration by Heiner Bade.

The cover art of Phantom: Die Heiner Bade Collection features the Phantom, dressed in his iconic Scandinavian blue costume with red trunks and holding a sheath, standing resolutely on a wooden platform beside a prominent executioner’s guillotine. Looming ominously in the moody, blue-hued night sky behind him is a massive, spectral skull, complemented by a pale full moon shining to the left. At the top of the image, the iconic “Phantom” title is rendered in vibrant red lettering with a yellow outline, attributed to creator Lee Falk, while the publisher logo “Edition COMICS & MEHR” and the series title “DIE HEINER BADE COLLECTION” run neatly across the bottom border.
