IndiaGlitz are reporting on-line that the Bollywood Phantom movie adaptation, set to be funded by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Vasan Bala, is being put on-hold.

At the end of last year, December 2020, sources in India were reporting that Kartik Aaryan was cast as the lead actor, set to play the character of the Phantom (Bollywoods Phantom Movie Adaptation Cast’s The Lead Role).

IndiaGlitz are reporting that “the film has been put on hold with the joint agreement of the trio” (the trio being Ronnie Screwvala, Vasan Bala and Kartik Aaryan).

It doesn’t sound like the Bollywood Phantom movie adaption has been scrapped all together at this stage, with IndiaGlitz further reporting:

It’s a big budget film, and will be revisited at the right time, when the market is back to normalcy.

It sounds like Ronnie Screwvala and Kartik Aaryan will be working together on another movie project.
