Exciting news has been reported by FILMFARE, we see an update to the Vasan Bala’s Bollywood adaptation of the Phantom movie currently in production in India.

Online sources from India are reporting that the lead role of the Phantom has been cast.

FILMFARE are reporting:

According to sources, we hear that KARTIK AARYAN has signed his first superhero flick. The actor has come on board for Vasan Bala’s adaptation of the comic book character Phantom. The wonderful people of Bangalla, the fictional country from where the Ghost Who Walks operates, are in for some inspirational monologues and lots of action we guess.

The role of the Phantom will be the first time that Kartik Aaryan will play a comic book hero in a movie. Kartik Aaryan is currently working on a movie titled ‘Dhamaka’ by Ram Madhvani, where he plays the part of a Journalist.

Another report out of India by Koimoi, is that the movie will simply be titled ‘Phantom‘. Koimoi are also reporting:

Kartik Aaryan’s Phantom is set in a fictional country called Bangalla. As per the report, this is the place from where the Ghost Who Walks operates. The Kartik starrer is all set to have the actor do some top-notch action and give inspirational monologues. There is no update on who will play the female lead, or even if there is one. We are waiting for more.

About Kartik Aaryan

Sourced from Wikipedia…

Kartik Tiwari (born 22 November 1990), known professionally as Kartik Aaryan, is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi films. While pursuing an engineering degree in biotechnology, he dabbled in modelling and made attempts to start a career in film. After struggling for three years, Aaryan made his acting debut in 2011 with Pyaar Ka Punchnama, a buddy film about the romantic tribulations faced by three young men, which was directed by Luv Ranjan and co-starred Nushrat Bharucha.

Aaryan went on to play the romantic interest of the lead female characters in Akaash Vani (2013) and Kaanchi: The Unbreakable (2014), but these films failed to propel his career forward. He subsequently collaborated with Ranjan and Bharucha in two more buddy films, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015) and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), both of which were commercially successful but received criticism for their misogynistic themes. The latter proved to be a breakthrough for Aaryan, and he followed it by starring in the 2019 romantic comedies Luka Chuppi and Pati Patni Aur Woh.

In addition to his acting career, Aaryan endorses several brands and products, and has co-hosted two award ceremonies. He appeared in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list of 2019.
