Available for pre-order is a new publication series titled, The Phantom – The Gold Key Years.

Due for release by the USA based publisher, Hermes Press, are a hardcover comic book series which will contain all 17 comics published by Gold Key, originally released in the USA from 1962 thru till 1966, a series which remains highly regarded by Phantom fans after so many years.

The Phantom – The Gold Key Years Volume One will contain 240 pages measuring 27.9cm x 17.8cm x 2.5cm in full color pages. This edition will publish the first 8 comic strip stories originally released by Gold Key. The publication will contain an introduction by Ed Rhoades and will also feature images of original artwork used in the series.

The front cover of the publication can be seen below, a striking image of the Phantom illustrated by George Wilson. The comic strip stories found within are all written by Bill Harris and illustrated by Bill Lignante.

The Phantom – The Gold Key Years Volume Two will contain 256 pages measuring 27.9cm x 20.3cm x 2.5cm in full color pages. This edition will publish the last 9 comic strip stories originally released by Gold Key. The publication will contain an introduction by Pete Klaus and will also feature images of original artwork used in the series.

The front cover of the publication can be seen below, an image of the Phantom illustrated by George Wilson, originally seen on the cover of edition number 11 in the Gold Key series. The comic strip stories found within are all written by Bill Harris and illustrated by Bill Lignante.

Limited to a print run of 1000 copies per volume, The Phantom – The Gold Key Years are both currently due for release in June, 2023.
