Reading Phantom Comics By Peace Monitoring Group

Posted on the Australian War Memorial social media pages, we see an amazing photo of personnel of the multinational Peace Monitoring Group reading Phantom comics whilst taking a break.

The photo was taken on the 2nd of May, 2000 in Kopei, central Bougainville, Papua New Guinea. The description of the photo as posted by the Australian War Memorial reads:

Private (Pte) Kent Strout (left), Australian Army and Sergeant (Sgt) Dean Kahu, New Zealand Army, reading Phantom comics during their midday rest whilst on patrol in Kopei, central Bougainville. Both were members of the multinational Peace Monitoring Group (PMG).
