The Australian Cartoonists’ Association Year Book was published in December 2021.

Within it’s pages, we find the 2021 nominations for the upcoming 37th Annual Stanley Awards, due to be held at Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia on the 25-27th of February, 2022.

Sponsored by Supanova, we find an award category titled ‘Comic Book Artist‘. The Australian Cartoonists’ Association describe this category as:

An artist whose body of work consists of unrestricted sequential panels in full page, half page or digital format that seek to convey a complete or part story and has been first published in either a physical or a digital medium (such as web comics) within the past year.

Several Phantom comic book artists have been nominated. Following are page extracts from The Australian Cartoonists’ Association Year Book featuring Phantom artist nominations, Antonia Lemos, Jeremy Macpherson, Paul Mason and Glenn Lumsden.

Interestingly, Phantom artist Glenn Lumsden has won this award several times, in 2016, 2019 and 2020 in fact.
