Shakti Comics, based in India, will commence a new Phantom comic book series, fully licensed by King Features Syndicate, launching next month.
Reading the Shakti Comics website, the team describe themselves as:
We started Shakti Comics in Feb 2021, and since our first day we’ve brought the best selection of comics and novelties to our customers. Our name has become synonymous with quality throughout the Nation. We do our best to ensure a permanent variety of fantastic stories along with unique limited edition and seasonal items to fit any budget.
Published in full color on gloss pages, this first edition will contain 64 pages and is titled ‘The Curse of Old Man Mozz‘ (the Shakti Comics website tells us that this is the first time this story will be published in India).
This edition will also be available in 3 languages, English, Hindi and Bengali.
The striking comic cover art is by Anupam Sinha.
Due for release on the 9th of October, 2021, pre-orders are now open on the Shakti Comics website HERE, for all 3 languages.
It’s great to see a new comic book series of the Phantom launch, and more importantly, it’s fantastic to see that comic book publishing houses still see a market where their audience want to read Phantom comic books, especially in such a large and diverse country as India.
