The Phantom Christmas Album, published by Story House Egmont in Sweden, is now becoming available online for pre-order.

Simply entitled ‘Fantomen 2026’, the Christmas Album represents a longstanding tradition in Sweden, an uninterrupted series published annually since 1944, with this particular comic book being the 83rd installment in the series.

This year’s edition will feature 96 full-color pages measuring 21cm x 27.5cm with Swedish text. The two Phantom comic strip stories included, as indicated by the publisher on the front cover, are:

• Mysteriet på Cape Cod (The Mystery on Cape Cod): A classic Team Fantomen adventure written by Norman Worker with artwork by César Spadari, originally produced for the Swedish magazine in 1988.

• Narkotikasmugglarna (The Big Catch): A vintage European Phantom story originally licensed through Italian publisher Fratelli Spada before being translated for Scandinavian readers.

The Christmas Album will also feature a reprint of the Fantomen 1976 Christmas Album, as indicated on the front cover. This edition includes two Phantom comic strip story:

• Hittebarnet (Rex King): A holiday reprint following the Phantom as he rescues and protects an abandoned infant, written by Lee Falk an illustrated by Sy Barry.
• Den falske Fantomen (The Jungle Tourneys): A classic tale centered on an impostor attempting to exploit the fear and legend of The Ghost Who Walks for criminal ends, written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Wilson McCoy.

The description seen on advertisements for the album reads:

All Fantomen fans’ favorite Christmas gift! A collection of classic adventures by the best storytellers and illustrators of all time. Plus, an exclusive bonus read: The entire Fantomen Christmas album from 1975 in a new print! Two albums in one!

The front cover of the Fantomen 2026 Christmas Album is presented below, featuring cover art by Luca Erbetta, depicting the Phantom in his signature Swedish costume accompanied by his trained falcon, Fraka. The golden seal on the left of the cover reads “Fantomen 90 År 1936–2026”, celebrating nine decades since the Phantom first appeared in US newspapers in February 1936.
