Limited Edition Phantom Cards by Saturday Morning Cards at San Diego Comic-Con

Saturday Morning Cards (SMC) is returning to San Diego Comic-Con, setting up shop at Booth #5633 following their massive 2025 debut, as reported by The San Diego Comic-Con Unofficial Blog (found HERE).

Known for bringing a wave of premium nostalgia to the trading card community, SMC elevates the classic experience of opening card packs by offering high-end, designer art cards enclosed in premium packaging.

For the convention, they are featuring limited-edition releases across a massive array of pop culture licenses, ranging from Street Fighter II and Goosebumps to Winnie-the-Pooh and The Rocketeer. Each blind box contains a random, officially licensed card encased in a custom protective acrylic case, complete with rare chase variants and convention-exclusive parallels.

Among their highly anticipated lineup is a brand-new release celebrating the Phantom. This premium event exclusive card marks a return to artist Erick Marshall’s striking “Slam Evil” punch pose, which originally captured the attention of fans during the company’s first volume. The San Diego Comic-Con Unofficial Blog website provide us with a sneak peak of the Phantom card which will be available at the San Diego Comic-Con.

While the core illustration honors that classic design, everything else about the card has been updated for the convention. The standard purple card features eye-catching movement effects with a special glow-in-the-dark element illuminating the Phantom’s iconic ring, all housed inside a completely fresh, redesigned presentation case.

True to the brand’s style, these Phantom cards are built for serious collectors and are strictly limited to a total production run of just 166 cards containing the “The San Diego Comic-Con International Exclusive 2026” badge. The lower-left corner highlights the strict rarity tiers available for collectors: Stars (/75), Ice (/50), Color (/25), Gold (/10), and an ultra-rare Black 1/1 masterpiece. These exclusives will be sold first to attendees on the show floor during Comic-Con, with any remaining stock likely to be posted on the Saturday Morning Cards website after the event wraps up (found HERE).

The San Diego Comic-Con 2026 will take place from the 23rd of July, thru till the 26th of July, with the traditional Preview Night held on Wednesday the 22nd. The event will be held at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California, USA.
