New Phantom Comic Book Series By Story House Egmont In Norway

The website Serie. No has published a post on Facebook informing readers of the upcoming launch of a new Phantom comic book series by Story House Egmont in Norway.

The post reads:

The spirit that almost left is back again!!

I write “almost” because, even though the Fantomet magazine, as we knew it until 2018, ended that year, there have been publications all the time. We have had a mix of Fantomet Chronological from the early years and an annual edition in addition. Last year, this was topped off with a solid album of around 150 pages, with only stories not published in Norway before. However, despite these publications, some have probably missed the usual and familiar Fantomet magazine. We have done something about that.

The first issue of Fantomet 2025 will be released in mid-September, and it has the same form and content as what we remember from 2018. We have had renewed access to Swedish-produced stories and will distribute these in upcoming issues. Something new and something classic in each issue, is the plan. The magazine will be just over 100 pages long.

Story House Egmont, a prominent European media company, possesses the publishing rights for the Phantom comic books in Norway, where they are released under the local title of Fantomet. Although the regular series concluded after an impressive 54-year run in 2018, totaling 1217 editions, the Phantom remains available in various formats in Norway, including softcover albums and yearly Christmas editions.

A teaser comic cover was also featured in the Facebook post, seen below, an illustration of the Phantom riding Hero by Henrik Sahlström.

The inaugural edition will contain approximately 100 pages and is scheduled for release in Norway in mid-September 2025.
