The publisher Zack Edition, based in Germany, is set to release a new comic book featuring the Phantom.

Edition number 2 is titled ‘Tödliche Dinosaurier‘, which translates to ‘Deadly Dinosaurs‘. The softcover comic book will contain 56 color pages measuring 29.5cm x 22cm in German text. It contains two Phantom comic strip stories:

• Deadly Dinosaurs – written by Bernd Frenz and illustrated by Carlos Pedrazzini
• Dark Smoke Over Bengali – written by Bernd Frenz and illustrated by Heiner Bade

Both stories were exclusively published in Sweden within the Fantomen comic book series (edition numbers 6-7 and 20) by Story House Egmont AB in 2022. Besides these two stories, the comic book will also contain eight pages of editorial text.

The online description for Tödliche Dinosaurier states:

This Phantom series of albums features stories about the wandering ghost, written by German author Bernd Frenz for the Swedish magazine FANTOMEN. Italian illustrator Carlos Pedrazzini (Deadly Dinosaurs), who also designed the cover, and German artist Heiner Bade (Dark Smoke over Bangalore) are responsible for the artwork for the stories in the second volume of the series.

The title story, “Deadly Dinosaurs”, revolves around a case of stolen dinosaur skeletons that are to be auctioned off to the highest bidder, in which the Phantom and his wife, Diana Palmer-Walker, investigate together. The second story, “Dark Smoke over Bangalore”, on the other hand, features an ecological theme that pits our hero against the charcoal mafia.
