Appearing on the Wessman & Pettersson website in Sweden, we see a new comic book by Story House Egmont available for pre-order.
Titled ‘Fantomen – Djengelpojken Rex‘, which translates to ‘Phantom – Jungle Boy Rex‘, it’ll contain 128 black and white pages measuring 20.8cm x 27.8cm with Swedish text.
The softcover album style comic book will be the 10th edition in a series which commenced in 2015 by Egmont, with a book published per year, featuring a mix of Phantom comic strip stories focusing on a particular topic.
This years comic book will feature stories containing Rex, who was left as a baby with missionaries, making his debut in the Phantom story titled Rex King, a Sunday story first appearing in newspapers in 1966, written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Sy Barry.

The description provided on the comic book reads:
Long ago Mori fishermen found an abandoned child on a raft. Without a single clue of the boy’s past, he eventually fell under the protection of the wandering wraith, and became known in the deep forests as Jungle Boy Rex King.
The pre-order listing on the Wessman & Pettersson website notes that Fantomen – Djengelpojken Rex is due for release on the 8th of August 2024. An image of the front cover is shown below, an illustration by Luca Erbetta depicting the Phantom and Rex with drawn bows.

The comic book will also be released in Finland under the title of ‘Mustanaamio – Viidakkopoika Rex‘, which translates to ‘Black Mask – Jungle Boy Rex‘ (the Phantom is know as Black Mask in Finland), which will be published with Finish text.
Seen on the Prisma website, the description provided on the comic book reads:
