Zauberstern Comics, the Germany based publishing house, have listed for pre-sale edition number 6 of their Flash Gordon comic book series.

This edition of Flash Gordon will reprint comic strip stories originally published by Marvel Comics under their Star Comics brand in the USA in 1987, with the main characters being Flash Gordon, The Phantom, Mandrake the Magician and Lothar who battle Ming the Merciless in a futuristic world.

This original comic book series was written by Stan Lee, Bob Harras and Michael Higgins and illustrated by Alex Saviuk and Fred Federicks. The series contains 4 comic books, which can all be seen below, with the Phantom appearing on 3 of the 4 front covers.

Flash Gordon #6 by Zauberstern Comics is due for release on the 28th of May 2024 and will contain 100 full color gloss pages, measuring 29.5cm x 21cm. Text has been translated from English to German by Thomas Tom Rippert. The vibrant front cover of this edition can be seen below.

The cover art used on this new comic book was originally printed on edition number 1 from the Defenders of the Earth series seen above, illustrated by Alex Saviuk and Fred Fredericks, and features not only the Defenders of the Earth team, but also their children, animals and their enemy Ming the Merciless.
