Zauberstern Comics, the Germany based publishing house, have listed for pre-sale edition number 7 of their Phantom comic book series.

Due for release on the 14th of June 2023, edition number 7 will contain 100 pages, published in full color in German text. The comic book reprints several Phantom stories, 2 daily newspaper comic strips stories from 2004 and 2005 plus a Swedish remake from a classic Lee Falk story.

The sale listing for the comic gives us the following information about the comic strip stories to be published:

• SIREN CALL – written by Lee Falk/Ulf Granberg and illustrated by Roy Felmang with colors by Germano Ferri.
• THIEVES IN BANGALLA – written by Lee Falk & Tony DePaul and illustrated by George Olesen & Paul Ryan with colors by Keith Williams & Paul Ryan.
• THE SECRET OF THE TEMPLE – written by Lee Falk & Tony DePaul and illustrated by Paul Ryan with colors by Paul Ryan.

Zauberstern Comics describe this edition as:

Just in time for the 85th birthday of the crimson avenger, the phantom returns with a powerful comic magazine filled to the brim with more than 100 pages to inspire comic fans in Germany! New stories, new adventures, exclusively German first releases! MAGIC STAR COMICS was able to secure a large part of the newspaper strips and will publish them for the first time in the new PHANTOM MAGAZIN. But not only the classic comic adventures of the phantom, but also cutting-edge and newly drawn adventures of the hero in the purple costume.

Cover art is by Italian artist Roy Felmeng, an illustration which was featured on the cover of the Swedish Fantomen Christmas Album in 2009, plus on the back cover of Phantom comic book edition number 1795 by Frew Publications in Australia in 2017.

We find no reference to a poster included in this edition, a move away from the prior 6 editions which included a free poster attached to the centerfold of the comic.

Edition number 7 in Zauberstern Comics Phantom comic book series looks like it’s going to be another fantastic comic book, not only produced at a high quality but with excellent content, well worth reading and collecting!!!
