The Phantom Art Show first premiered at the Australian Galleries located at 15 Roylston Street, Paddington, NSW, Australia on the 9th of December, 2014 thru until the 21st of December, 2014. Likely due to its success, the curators Peter Kingston and Dietmar Lederwasch decided to take the exhibition on the road.
As seen on the back covers of The Phantom Art Show exhibit program, the Australian tour began on the 7th of February, 2015 thru until the 29th of October, 2017.
In 2018, The Phantom Art Show visited Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea and Los Angeles in the United States.
Over the 4 years, there were a total of 12 events scheduled at various Art Galleries, Museums and Art Centers. All exhibits utilized the same Art Show program, later events were stamped on the back cover to indicate location.

The exhibition included the works of forty artists including Dick Frizzell, Charles Blackman, Kevin Connor, Elisabeth Cummings, Reg Mombassa, Michael Bell, Garry Shead and Greg Weight.
A limited number of canvas sew-on patches, t-shirts and postcards, with Dick Frizzell’s The Phantom “Mufti Day” were for sale. Throughout the various exhibits, limited edition collectibles were for sale from t-shirts to tea towels, from postcards to prints.
Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre
The Tweed Regional Art Gallery featured The Phantom Art Show from the 9th of December, 2016 thru until the 26th of February, 2017.
