Crítica Aventuras (translating to Critical Adventures) is the title of a newspaper lift-out published in Buenos Aries, Argentina, commencing in 1940 through to approximately 1944. Containing 16 pages in Spanish language, the lift-out is published in full color and measures 8.5″ x 11.5″.
Published on Sundays, Crítica Aventuras featured a variety of comic strip characters, including Mandrake the Magician, Tarzan, Jungle Jim, Dick, The Lone Ranger, Buck Rogers and many more. A page is dedicated to each comic strip character.
Phantom comic strips were also featured in Crítica Aventuras, under the title of ‘El Regreso de Fantomas’, which translates to ‘The Return of the Phantom’ from Spanish. Below we see edition number 429 published on the 1st of November, 1943. The Phantom comic strip is found on page 5.
