The Phantom makes an appearance in MAD Magazine Super Special Fall edition number 36, published by E.C Publications, Inc. in USA in 1981.

The MAD Magazine Super Special Fall edition contains 100 black and white pages. It commemorates a compilation of satire comic strips sourced from various previously published issues of MAD Magazine, spanning from edition number 1 in 1952 through to editions published in 1981.

It features a selection of Phantom comic strips from MAD Magazines from edition number 35 (printed in 1957), edition number 56 (printed in 1960), and edition number 68 (printed in 1962). A sample of internal pages can be seen below.
