Fierro A Fierro

Fierro A Fierro is a magazine series published by Editorial La Urraca in Buenos Aires, Argentina from September 1984 thru till December 1992. Over this period, 100 editions were published, with 2 anthology books and special feature editions released. The magazine is comic industry themed, publishing a mix of informative articles and comic strip stories.

The series changed it’s title throughout it’s publishing history:

  • Edition number 1 – 12: Fierro A Fierro – Historietas Para Sobrevivientes (which translates to Iron To Iron – Comics For Survivors).
  • Edition number 13 – 19: Fierro – Historietas Para Sobrevivientes (which translates to Iron – Comics For Survivors).
  • Edition number 20 – 100: Fierro (which translates to Iron).

Fierro A Fierro edition number 5 contains an article featuring the Phantom. This edition was published in a mix of color and black and white internal pages, containing 88 pages measuring 22cm x 28cm in Spanish text.

The Phantom half page article is found on page 52 titled ‘Lee Falk – Inventor De Mintos’ (which translates to Lee Falk – Inventor of Myths). The article features Lee Falk and his history with creating Mandrake the Magician and the Phantom.
