Fantomus Og Tronarvingen

Fantomus Og Tronarvingen (which translates to Phantom And The Heir To The Throne) is a comic book published by J.W. Cappelen in Norway in 1990. Only one edition was published, featuring a parody of the Phantom in the form of a mouse. The book is written and illustrated by Kjell E. Midthun.

Fantomus Og Tronarvingen is a hardcover book containing 56 black and white pages measuring 27.7cm x 27.5cm, with Norwegian text. The book was sold in bookstores throughout Norway, with a target audience being young children. The front and back covers can be seen below,

A pirate ship sinks off the coast of Bengal, and the only survivor crawls ashore. A strange, skull-shaped cave appears to be uninhabited, and there the frozen one even finds a wool leotard… This is an original parody of the Phantom myth. Phantom also gets a magic ring from the mares. But the question of succession haunts him. Something must be done – but with whom? So much comes from above – and now comes the female mouse Zalo, with a pilot’s licence. But that’s just the beginning. Phantom mouse must come…
