Club Amigos de la Historieta (which translates to ‘Cartoon Friends Club’) Fanzine was published by Club Amigos de la Historieta in Barcelona, Spain from January 1975 thru till December 1982. 36 editions were released, with the bulletin style publication featuring comic book related news.
Club Amigos de la Historieta (or commonly abbreviated to ‘CAH’) was founded by a group of comic book enthusiasts in Barcelona, Spain in 1974. These enthusiasts were Josep Mari Ávarez, Antoni Arigita, Francisco Baena, Xavier Balmaña, Josep Maria Delhom, César Díez, Jesús Díaz, Xavier Fontecha, Joan Navarro, Antoni Muzás, Vicente Sánchez, Joaquín Sendra and María Victoria Vives Arumi.
The groups aim was to research and spread information on comic book related subject matter, awarded the ‘Diario de Avisos’ award for the ‘Best Work For Comics’ in 1977.
Of the 36 editions released, the Phantom was featured on the cover of 2 editions, number 1 and number 8, both published in 1975. Printed in black and white, both of the editions contain 16 pages and measure 24cm x 17cm. These 2 editions can be seen below.
