The Phantom makes an appearance in Buster Magazine edition number 9, published by Semic Press in Sweden in 1991. The Buster Magazine series this edition is a part of commenced in 1970 and ended in 1997. A total of 584 editions were released with the publisher resetting the edition number on a yearly basis. The magazine contains a mix of comic strip stories and general interest articles, all themed around sports.
Buster Magazine edition number 9 contains 88 full color pages. The front and back covers can be seen below.


Found in the centerfold of this edition is a weekly planner style poster featuring the Phantom. The poster is actually a promotion carried out by Nordchoklad AB to promote it’s powdered drinking chocolate boxes which feature the Phantom and Devil. The double sided poster attached to the centerfold of Buster Magazine can be seen below.

The reverse of the poster can be seen below, both featuring the Phantom.


One half of the reverse of the poster contains an advertisement offering a discount when purchasing the Nordchoklad AB produced Fantomen Chokladdryck powdered drinking chocolate boxes from a retail store. A closer look of this advertisement can be seen below.

On the second half of the reverse of the poster contains an advertisement promoting Fantomen comic books in Sweden featuring an illustration by Rolf Gohs. This image would later be published by Semic Press on the back cover of the 1992 Fantomen Christmas Album, with both front and back covers seen below.
