Ude Og Hjemme Tegneserier

Ude Og Hjemme Tegneserier (which translates to Out And Home Cartoons) is a comic book series published by Aller Press in Copenhagen, Denmark from 1970 thru till 1977. Ude Og Hjemme is a weekly general interest and women’s magazine which commenced publication in 1926. Ude Og Hjemme Tegneserier was a supplement attached to the magazines centerfold which was designed to be easily removed before reading.

A variety of comic book characters are featured in the series, including Prince Valiant, Rip Kirby, Popeye, Modesty Blaise and many more. Each edition published a mix of comic strip characters in the one edition. A total of 298 editions were published in the series, with the edition numbers resetting at the commencement of each year.

The Phantom was also included in the series, published from 1970 thru until 1972. These editions contain 16 full color pages measuring 16.5cm x 24.5cm. The Phantom appeared on various Ude Og Hjemme Tegneserier covers, not only in comic strips within the publication. We first see the Phantom appearing on the cover of number 49, published in 1970.
