Serieskatter (which translates to ‘Serial Taxes’) was published by Egmont Kids Media Nordic AS in Norway from 2015 thru till 2017. The comic book series contains 6 editions, featuring a variety of characters, reprinting classic comic books in their entirety. Each edition is presented with an editorial article adjoining the reprinted comic, detailing it’s historical significance in Norway.

The album style comic books contain a hard cover with approximately 200 color pages per edition measuring 26cm x 20cm. They feature comic book characters such as Superman, Batman, Tarzan, Modesty Blaise, The Flash, Disney Characters, Jungle Jim and more. The front covers of all 6 editions can be seen below.

The Phantom was featured in edition number 1 and 5.

Serieskatter Edition #1

Serieskatter edition number 1 was published in 2015 containing 208 color pages. It features 5 comic book characters, Tarzan, Jukan – Son Of The Jungle, Helan and Halvan, the Phantom and Sheriff.

The Phantom comic book reprinted in this edition is Fantomet number 1, published by Normic Press in 1964. The front cover of Serieskatter edition number 1, with the adjoining comic featured both on the cover and within can be seen below.

Serieskatter Edition #5

Serieskatter edition number 5 was published in 2016 containing 240 color pages. It features 5 comic book characters, Mandrake the Magician, Lyn Gordon, Jungle Jim, King of the Royal Mounted and Julia Jones. It should be noted that an image of the Phantom appears on the front cover and within only, with a Phantom comic strip story not published within.

The comic book reprinted in this edition is from the Fantom-Hefte series published by Allers Forlag, edition number 5-6, published in 1953. The front cover of Serieskatter edition number 5 can be seen below, featuring Fantom-Hefte edition number 2 on the front cover, however Fantom-Hefte edition number 5-6 is actually published within. Fantom-Hefte edition number 5-6 featured within can be seen below.
