O Fantasma was published by Saber in Sao Paulo, Brazil from 1969 thru till 1975. 3 separate series were published, printing daily newspaper comic strip stories, translated into the local Brazilian language of Portuguese. All editions are licensed by King Features Syndicate.
Published in black and white, each edition contains between 100 to 116 pages measuring 13.5cm x 20.5cm. Each edition except the last 2 comic books contain the Saber logo in the top left hand corner on the front cover, with an edition number not found on the front cover, but printed within.

The O Fantasma comic book series was advertised in a variety of other comic book series being published by Saber at the time. Below we see an advertisement on the inside front cover of Secret Agent comic book edition number 3, published in 1970.


The second series released by Saber was titled ‘O Fantasma Edicao Extra’ containing 9 editions published from 1971 thru till 1975. These editions contained extra pages to the series above, approximately 150 pages, plus more then 1 Phantom story per comic book, with black and white internal pages measuring 13.5cm x 19cm.









The third series released by Saber titled ‘O Fantasma Extra Selecao’ contains 2 editions printed in 1972 with 3 Phantom comic strip stories published per edition. These editions contained 288 black and white internal pages measuring 13.5cm x 20cm.
