Nuove Avventure De L’Uomo Mascherato

Nuove Avventure De L’Uomo Mascherato (which translates to New Adventures of the Masked Man) is a comic book series published by Capriotti Editore in Rome, Italy from August 1948 thru till January 1949. A total of 16 editions were released in the series, published on a weekly basis solely featuring the Phantom. Capriotti Editore also published comic book series containing Zorro, Cino E Franco, Audaz and Mandrake the Magician in a similar format at the same time.

Nuove Avventure De L’Uomo Mascherato comic books were published in landscape format contain 16 black and white pages, with color found on the outside covers, measuring 19.6cm x 13.6cm. Each edition contains a comic number, plus the wording ‘È Un Albo Inedito Capriotti’ in the upper center area of the front cover, which translates to ‘It’s an Unpublished Register Capriotti’.

A 3 volume album style series was published by Capriotti Editore in 1948, containing Nuove Avventure De L’Uomo Mascherato editions as seen above. These editions contain black and white pages measuring 19.6cm x 13.6cm, with unique covers created specially for the series by Italian artist, Vittorio Cossio.
