Mistero Comics is the title of various comic series published by Casa Editrice Nerbini in Florence, Italy between 1947 until 1950. The comics published under this title varied in design over the years, with even the numbering sequence changing with each year and set of comics.
Several comic book characters were published in these series, not only the Phantom. Other characters included Mandrake The Magician, The Lone Ranger, Secret Agent X9 and more.
Each edition published was dedicated solely to one character, with the corresponding comic book cover matching to the comic strip within.
The comics were printed with color on the front cover and black and white pages within. A small select of Phantom covers can be seen below from each series.
Mistero – 1947-1948
The Phantom appeared in this series in edition numbers 29-34, 38-40 and 44-46 in 1947.
Then edition numbers 4-6 in 1948.
Nuova Serie – Mistero! – 1948
The Phantom appeared in this series in edition numbers 1-3, 7-9, 13-15, 19-21, 25-17, 25-39, 43-44 and 48-51.
Mistero Comics – 1949-1950
The Phantom appeared in this series in edition numbers 1, 5, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17.
Nuova Serie – Mistero Comics – 1950
The Phantom appeared in this series in edition numbers 2, 4, 6 and 8.
Mistero Comics – 1953
The Phantom appeared in this series in edition number 1 only.

Album – 1948
Several Albums were released, containing 3 already published Mistero comic’s per edition. The albums contain unique cover art and design not seen on other Mistero editions.
Album – 1950
An Album was released in 1950 titled ‘L’Ombra Che Cammina’, the final edition in the Mistero series where we see the Phantom featured. See blow the front and rear covers.
