Mini Comics

Phantom Mini Comics are produced by Diamond Comics in India throughout the 1990s. The Mini Comics are promotional gave-away Phantom comics, issued by a variety of companies as a bonus for the purchase of their products.

Diamond Comics was established in 1978 by Gulshan Rai, publishing original Indian comic characters like Chacha Chaudhary, Billoo, Pinki, Motu Patlu and more. Diamond Comics also published foreign comic books such as the Phantom, Mandrake the Magician, Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, He-Man and James Bond in Hindi as well as in English.

The Mini Comics are published in full color measuring 10.8cm x 13.6cm. As the comics contain only a sample of a Phantom comic strip story, each edition vary in page numbers, ranging from 16 to 34 pages.

Alongside the comic strips, Mini Comics also contain advertisements for products (such as food, merchandise and comics), comic subscription forms (for a variety of Diamond Comics series) and competitions (such as color-in competitions and mail in coupons).
