The Phantom vs. The Sky Band

This edition publishes a Phantom adventure battling The Sky Band, a notorious group of all-female air pirates that first appeared in the very first daily Phantom comic strip story to be published in US newspapers in 1936, ‘The Singh Brotherhood‘. Created by Lee Falk and illustrated by Ray Moore, they are recognized as one of the first “Amazon Brigade” style organizations in comic history, predating mainstream feminist movements in the medium.
This all original story and artwork comic book contains 40 full color pages and is authored by Ray Fawkes, illustrated by Federico Sabbatini, colored by Juancho Velez and lettering by Taylor Esposito.
The description seen in online advertisements reads:
THE PHANTOM’S JUSTICE IS SWIFT AND ETERNAL! The Sky Band entered the Phantom’s domain when they took blood money to carry the Singh Brotherhood into Bangalla. They thought their helicopters would make them untraceable¸ immune. Now the mercenaries-for-hire will face the Phantom’s wrath. Those who survive…will be irreparably MARKED.
The two front cover variants of The Phantom vs. The Sky Band offer contrasting perspectives on a high-stakes confrontation between the Phantom and his classic aerial adversaries, The Sky Band.
- Cover A (seen below left), illustrated by Federico Sabbatini, is a dynamic, action-oriented piece featuring the Phantom leaping through the air amidst a fiery explosion, with a tactical helicopter looming in the background under a full moon.
- Cover B (seen below right), by Freddie Williams II and Andrew Dalhouse, presents a more dire scene from a low-angle perspective, showing a bloodied Phantom grounded and gritting his teeth in the foreground. He is being held at bay by a determined, blonde-haired woman, likely a leader of the Sky Band, who stands before a landed helicopter wielding an assault rifle, with a pile of skulls nearby emphasizing the lethal stakes of their encounter.

Although the front cover indicates that this is edition number one, the comic book is a one-shot publication, with no further editions in this series release.
The Phantom vs. The Red Dragons
The Phantom vs. The Red Dragons is a standalone one-shot comic book published by Mad Cave Studios in the USA on the 17th of June 2026. This edition publishes a Phantom adventure battling The Red Dragons, one of the most compelling and dangerous adversaries in the history of the Phantom comic strip, making her debut in the story ‘Pirates of the Red Dragon: Princess Sin‘, created by Team Fantomen in Sweden in 1979, a story written by Norman Worker and illustrated by Georges Bess. As the ruthless ruler of a group of pirates based on the island of Drakon in South China Sea, she famously commanded the formidable pirates known as The Red Dragon, using it to terrorize the seas and enforce her criminal dominion.
This new all original story and artwork comic book contains 40 full color pages, authored by Ray Fawkes, illustrated by Lynne Yoshii, colored by Juancho Velez and lettering by Taylor Esposito.
The pre-order advertisement describes this edition as:
But how do you kill a Ghost? The Red Dragons are gonna try—and anyone who gets in the way is just collateral damage! When someone in The Phantom’s familiar cowl starts sinking the Dragons’ pirate operations, Princess Sin goes on the warpath. The South China Sea belongs to the Red Dragons—and they’re not afraid of one man in a mask. Not yet. Another thrilling installment in Ray Fawkes’ action-packed adventure with guest artist Lynne Yoshii!
Two front cover variants of The Phantom vs. The Red Dragons have been released, published by Mad Cave Studios, offer contrasting perspectives on a high-stakes confrontation between the Phantom and his adversaries, The Red Dragons.
- Cover A (seen below left), illustrated by Alessio Zonno, is a high-octane action sequence rendered in a modern, vibrant art style, with the Phantom leaping forward with a determined expression on his face with his right fist thrust forward, prominently displaying the Good Mark ring whilst a battle takes place in the background, possibly by Red Dragon pirates, on a ship decorated with dragon motifs and East Asian calligraphy. The composition uses a low-angle perspective and a shallow depth of field to emphasize the Phantoms speed and the lethal stakes of the confrontation.
- Cover B (seen below right), illustrated by Freddie Williams II and Andrew Dalhouse, presents a more cinematic and symbolic cover art, showing a massive close-up portrait of the Phantom in the background, his expression grim and his hand raised displaying the Skull Ring. Tangled around him is a jagged, red-scaled dragon body that links the Phantom to the woman on the left, the leader of the Red Dragons Princess Sin, who stands confidently in a black dress adorned with a matching dragon motif. The bottom of the frame features a naval setting with a large destroyer and a smaller patrol boat near a tropical coastline, all rendered with a textured, gritty finish and a warm, sun-drenched palette that suggests a high-stakes confrontation in the South China sea.

Although the front cover indicates that this is edition number one, the comic book is a one-shot publication, with no further editions in this series release.
The Phantom vs. The Singh Brotherhood
The Phantom vs. The Singh Brotherhood is a standalone one-shot comic book published by Mad Cave Studios in the USA on the 19th of August 2026. The Singh Brotherhood serves as the primary and most enduring antagonist in Phantom comic strip adventures. Introduced by the Phantoms creator Lee Falk in the very first newspaper strip story, “The Singh Brotherhood” (commencing on the 17th of February 1936), they’re depicted as an ancient, multi-generational pirate syndicate that has plagued the seas for over four hundred years. It was a brutal attack by the Brotherhood on a merchant ship in 1536 that resulted in the death of Christopher Walker’s father, leading Christopher to swear the “Oath of the Skull” and become the first Phantom. This established a centuries-long blood feud between the Walker lineage and the criminal organization.
This new all original story and artwork comic book contains approximately 40 full color pages, authored by Ray Fawkes, illustrated by Russell Mark Olson and lettering by Taylor Esposito.
The description seen in online advertisements reads:
THE PHANTOM WALKS. EVIL DIES. It’s all come down to this—The Phantom vs. Arif Singh and his Brotherhood! After the Brotherhood’s failed attack on Bangalla, Singh was all set to rot in prison. But concrete walls cannot stop the man who controls one of the most notorious criminal enterprises in the world. Only The Phantom can. Or this time, he might just die trying.
Two front cover variants for The Phantom vs. The Singh Brotherhood have been released, each providing a unique visual take on the intense conflict between the Ghost Who Walks and his ancient enemies.
- Cover A (seen below left), illustrated by Mark Spears, depicts a visceral, neon-soaked close-up of a bearded assailant locking the Phantom in a powerful chokehold. The Phantom’s face is contorted in a grimace, eyes glowing white, as he desperately pries at his attacker’s arms with hands that prominently display the signature Skull Ring. Striking high-contrast lighting, featuring acidic greens, deep purples, and fiery orange highlights emphasizes the raw muscular tension and kinetic energy of the struggle.
- Cover B (seen below right), illustrated by Freddie Williams II and Andrew Dalhouse, presents a gritty, high-stakes confrontation set against a fortified compound background. In the foreground, a massive, bearded adversary looms over the frame, clutching a blood-stained knife. Facing him is a battered and bloodied Phantom, whose purple suit is torn from battle as he stands defiantly near a chain-link fence topped with barbed wire. The scene is illuminated by harsh searchlights from a watchtower, creating a tense atmosphere.

Although the front cover indicates that this is edition number one, the comic book is a one-shot publication, with no further editions in this series release.
