Fantomet Jubileumsbok

The Fantomet Jubileumsbok (which translates to Phantom Anniversary Book) are comic books published by Egmont Kids Media Nordic AS in Norway commencing in 2014 thru till 2017. The five softcover comic books mark a special occasion or anniversary in the world of the Phantom in Norway.

Egmont Kids Media Nordic AS was once the name for a dedicated business unit within the larger Egmont media group, specifically focused on publishing content for children and young people across the Nordic countries. This division was a key part of the company’s identity, producing a wide variety of magazines, comics, and children’s books. It was particularly well-known for its long-standing partnerships with major international brands like Disney, Hasbro, and Mattel, which allowed it to publish hugely popular titles featuring characters from franchises like Donald Duck and Paw Patrol. The company’s goal was not only to entertain but also to promote reading and literacy among young audiences.

The name Egmont Kids Media Nordic AS is no longer in use due to a series of corporate restructurings. The first major change occurred in 2013, when Egmont Kids Media was merged with Egmont Magazines to form a new, more streamlined entity called Egmont Publishing. This consolidation was part of a larger effort by the parent company to integrate its various publishing activities.

Fantomet Jubileumsbok comic books were released in a softcover format, with each edition containing between 130 and 148 black and white pages measuring 21cm x 26.8cm in Norwegian text. Each edition includes a diverse selection of comic strip stories, in addition to feature articles which are aligned with the overarching theme of the publication.

  • Edition Number 5 – Rubinbryllupet (translating to The Ruby Wedding) – Published in 2017
