Fantasma comic books were published by Editora Globo in Brazil. Two separate set were produced, a total of 17 comics, all in full color with gloss pages. The comic books were produced under license from King Features Syndicate.

The two series follow the sets published by DC Comics, Inc. in the USA, published approximately 1 year after. The series by Editora Globo have been translated for the local market, from English to Portuguese.

The first Fantasma comic book set to be released was in a mini-series format, which included 4 comic books all published in 1989. They are printed in full color containing approximately 36 pages measuring 13.5cm x 18.5cm.

The second Phantom comic book set includes 13 comic books, published from 1989 thru till 1990. They are printed in full color containing approximately 36 pages measuring 17cm x 26cm.
