The Phantom comic book series was published by Edition Comics & Mehr in Germany commencing in May 2026.
Launched in 2026, the six-volume series celebrates the 90th anniversary of the Phantom. The full color comic book series is specifically designed to spotlight the work of the legendary German artist Heiner Bade, one of the most prolific and long-lasting creators of the Phantom. By combining classic storytelling with premium archival curation, including bringing iconic stories like Bade’s “The Ku Klux Klan” and Donne Avenell’s “The Ghost Pirate” to the forefront, Edition Comics & Mehr is spearheading a mini-renaissance for the franchise within German-speaking territories.
Comics & Mehr (Comics and More) is a dedicated German comic book publisher that has carved out a distinct niche for itself in the European market. Known for catering to passionate collectors, enthusiasts, and fans of classic adventure strips, the publisher often balances nostalgic appeal with high-quality production standards. Rather than focusing solely on mass-market modern superhero trends, the house has made a name for itself by preserving and celebrating the rich history of classic comic illustration and legendary artists.
