O Fantasma was published by Circulo de Leitores in Brazil in 1980. The hardcover album style comic book was the only edition published by Circulo de Leitores, reprinting the edition as published by Librairie Hachette in France in 1974 titled ‘Le Fantome – Le Justicier De La Jungle’.

The O Fantasma hardcover album style comic book is published with 42 color pages measuring 21.5cm x 28.7cm, featuring 2 Phantom comic strip stories written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Sy Barry in Portuguese text. The front and back cover can be seen below.

The title as the Phantom is know in Brazil is seen on the front cover, ‘O Fantasma’ with a profile images of the Phantom adjoining the title. The front cover also contain an image of the Phantom illustrated by Sy Barry, which have been taken from an internal comic strip story panel, with the Phantom seen in a purple costume, breaking from his traditional red costume which he’s normally published as in Brazil.

The comic book is also published with a title on the front cover, ‘O Justiceiro Da Selva’, which translates to ‘The Jungle Punisher’. An edition number isn’t found anywhere on the comic book.
