The Chico Zumba comic book series was published by Portugal Press in Lisbon, Portugal in 1975 and distributed by Agência Portuguesa de Revistas. Containing 12 comic books in the series, a variety of comic book characters are featured per edition, including the Phantom, Big Ben Bolt, Billy the Kid, Cisco Kid, Flash Gordon, Mandrake the Magician, Popeye, Steve Canyon and Tim Tyler’s Luck. The series reprinted comic books originally published by King Comics in the USA in 1966.

Chico Zumba comic book contain approximately 32 black and white pages measuring 16.5cm x 24cm. All covers are published in color, containing the Chico Zumba icon in the top left which resembles a Mosquito, together with the comic edition number. A new comic book was released weekly, translated from English to Portuguese.

All 12 Chico Zumba comic books can be seen below, with the Phantom appearing on the covers of editions 1, 7 and 10 with Phantom comic strip stories published in editions 1, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
