Album Pif-Paf is a comic book series published by Editorial TOR in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 1954 thru till 1956. The series contains 103 editions, featuring a large number of comic book characters, with a characters published per edition. The characters featured include the Phantom, Mandrake the Magician, Flash Gordon, Prince Valiant, Tim Tyler, Brick Bradford, Tarzan, Sheena, Roy Rogers, Buz Sawyer, Agent X9 and many more.
Album Pif-Paf comic books contain approximately 60 pages printed in a mix of color and black and white, measuring 13.5cm x 16.5cm published in landscape format. All comic book covers are published in color, with an edition number also printed on the cover. The covers contain the name of the comic book character published within the edition, plus the title of the series, ‘Album Pif-Paf’.
The Phantom was published under the title of ‘El Fantasma’ in 2 of the 103 editions, in numbers 4 and 83. He also appears on the covers of these editions. The story title seen on edition number 4 is ‘The Jungle Girl’, and on edition number 83 ‘It Must Be The Gorillas’. These 2 editions can be seen below.
