Ace Comics were published by David McKay Publications in USA from April 1937 to November 1949 in full color, with each comic generally containing approximately 36 pages.

The comics weren’t solely dedicated to the Phantom, with other comic strips appearing such as Jungle Jim, Brick Bradford, Tim Tyler’s Luck, Prince Valiant, The Lone Ranger and Katzenjammer Kids.
The series ran for 151 editions, with the Phantom appearing on the covers from numbers 140 to 151, with the first Phantom comic strip appearing in issue number 11 in February, 1938 (see above). The Phantom is printed in a brown costume in number 11.
