The Phantom Movie Costume Set

The Phantom Movie Costume Set was released by Mesay, S.L. Joseph Finestres in Barcelona, Spain in 1997. The costume is themed after the Phantom movie released in 1996 featuring Billy Zane playing the part of the Phantom and Kristy Swanson as Diana Palmer.

The costume set is a rare and meticulously crafted piece of cinematic memorabilia, produced in a extremely limited quantity with an original price of 76.87 Euros. Fully licensed by King Features and Mesay, S.L. Joseph Finestres, the costume set was distributed exclusively in Barcelona, Spain.

The packaging is notable for its oversized glossy cardboard box which contains a lift-off lid, featuring artwork inspired by the 1996 US Style A movie poster and various publicity images. The lid also contains an image of a person wearing the costume, with the Phantoms Spanish title found underneath it, ‘El Hombre Enmascarado’.

Inside, the adult-sized costume set includes a one-piece bodysuit, cowl, and trunks made from high-quality stretch fabric. The textured, flocked fabric eye mask is secured with an elastic head strap. The vinyl gun belt features a raised plastic silver buckle, adding to the overall aesthetic.

The boots are a combination of vinyl and stretch fabric, designed to replicate the Phantom’s iconic footwear. The set also includes two blister-packed plastic 45’s with cardboard targets on the rear, crafted from plastic with rubber firing caps. A plastic Skull and Good Mark ring sculpted after the “street players” rings is also included in the set (not seen below).
