The Phantom 1911 Colt Pistols

The Phantom 1911 Colt Pistols were produced by Museum Replicas Limited in USA in 2007. The pistols are designed and modeled after those seen in Phantom comic strip stories which the Phantom carries with him at all times, a fully licensed collectible by King Features Syndicate.

Museum Replicas Limited and Atlanta Cutlery Corp. operate jointly in Conyers, GA. Founded in 1985, Museum Replicas Limited specializes in medieval swords, armor, and historical replicas, while Atlanta Cutlery began as a mail-order catalog for knives and related supplies in 1971. Both companies collaborate closely with Windlass Steelcrafts to produce high-quality, historically accurate designs. In 1995, ownership transferred to Sudhir and Pradeep Windlass, who continue to prioritize traditional manufacturing methods and historical authenticity.

The Phantom 1911 Colt Pistols are blank firing, full metal guns and are functional in every way, produced by Windlass Steelcrafts and the KIMAR gun factory in Italy. They use 8mm blank bullets with the magazine ejecting, the barrel slides and the trigger pulls. The pistols don’t shoot projectiles as the barrel is blocked per USA federal regulation. The custom hardwood black grips are inset with metal medallions of the Phantoms good and bad marks. The 2 pistols sold as a set can be seen below.

The Phantom 1911 Colt Pistols came with a timber oval shaped display rack depicting a skull in purple on the front, with a plaque in the lower center reading ‘The Phantom’. The display rack was designed to either stand freely on a shelf or hung on a wall via a pair of precut holes at the rear. Brass hooks are located on the front of the rack for the pistols to be placed and displayed. A sticker can be seen on the back noting the production year and copyright information.

The Phantom 1911 Colt Pistols were produced in limited quantities, a total of 250 sets worldwide. A certificate of authenticity came with the pistols, with each certificate individually hand numbered. An example can be seen below.
