The Phantom Stick-A-Patch is produced by Three Fish Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia, USA in 1972. The round cloth patch is designed to simply stick to a desired surface/location, then relocate as many times as necessary.
The patch was sold in department stores and convenience stores throughout the US, including Target, Golden Circle, Lion Country and Ayr-way. The Stick-A-Patch came packaged in a plastic sleeve attached to a one-side brown card, with ‘how to use’ instructions located on the front.
The patch measures 3” in diameter and is made of cloth. Raised embroidery stitching makes up the whole Stick-A-Patch, found around the boarder, used to feature an image of the Phantom, used in the background and used for the wording ‘Phantom’ and KFS’.
Other comic book characters besides the Phantom were produced in the Stick-A-Patch series by Three Fish Inc. including Mandrake the Magician, Flash Gordon, Prince Valiant, Popeye, Olive Oyl, Swee’ Pea, Brutus, Jughaid, Suffy Smith, Maw Smith, Tillie the Toiler, Henry, The Little King, Whimpy, Sarge, Rusty Riley, Beetle Bailey, Little Orphan Annie Rooney and Moon Mullins.
