The Rolf Gohs Iron-On transfer was produced by Semic Press in Sweden in 1977. The Iron-On transfer was provided as a complimentary give-away with Fantomen comic book number 14, stapled in the center of the comic.
The front cover of this Fantomen comic book edition notifies the reader that a complimentary inclusion is found within, with text reading ‘Sommar Special! – Lacker Varmedekal’ translating to ‘Summer Special! – Lovely Heat Decal’. The cover is illustrated by Rolf Gohs, seen below.

The Iron-On transfer is produced in color and is printed on paper measuring 34cm x 26cm. It’s designed to be transferred onto a fabric garment by simply placing the image face down, before applying a hot iron onto the back of the paper. The heat then transfers the image onto the garment when the paper is lifted off. The front and back of the Iron-On transfer can be see below.

At the base of the image, we find copyright wording ‘© Bulls’, the Phantom license holder in Sweden as approved by King Features Syndicate. A profile image of the Phantom is seen, looking down on the Phantom riding Hero with Devil running ahead, illustrated by Rolf Gohs.
