Reapers’ Quest was founded in Australia in 2020 and was formerly known as Wulfric Media. They designed and manufactured an array of Phantom themed memorabilia of high quality which were fully licensed by King Features Syndicate. They’re best known for their bespoke jewelry and limited edition collector items, building a reputation for craftsmanship and premium design before ceasing operations in early 2023 due to rising costs, and the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reapers’ Quest produced a wide range of collectible items for Phantom enthusiasts, including:
- Jewelry: Bespoke pieces such as Skull Mark and Good Mark rings, along with Good Mark pendants and personalized high-end jewelry released in the final months of operation.
- Apparel & Headwear: The popular “Jungle Patrol” caps and limited-run Phantom beanies.
- Accessories: Cardboard jewelry boxes and presentation packaging for their collector-grade pieces.
The company distinguished itself from mass-produced memorabilia by focusing on handcrafted detail on their ring and pendant ranges which were designed as collector-grade jewelry, not generic mass produced licensed merchandise. They also used premium materials for their jewelry lines which were made from quality metals, often offered in custom or limited production runs.
Reapers’ Quest operated under an official Australian license from King Features Syndicate, holding rights to produce Phantom-themed collectibles. This license was relinquished in late 2022 and formally expired in March 2023. The decision to close was announced publicly in late 2022, with the company citing escalating costs, market challenges, and the pandemic’s continued effects as determining factors.
Although Reapers’ Quest operated for only three years, its contributions were significant. The company left a lasting mark on the collector community, with its rings, jewelry, and apparel now considered premium and highly desirable pieces within the global Phantom memorabilia market. Orders continued to be fulfilled until the official end of the King Features Syndicate license in March 2023, providing fans one final opportunity to acquire personalized jewelry directly from the maker.
Among the pieces created, the Phantom Skull and Good Mark rings remain the most celebrated. Each was presented with deliberate care—first secured in a cardboard envelope then enclosed in a black velvet pouch, then placed within a featuring Sy Barry’s iconic illustration of the Phantom, arms defiantly crossed.
In total, Reaper’s Quest released eighteen fully licensed rings. These were far more than simple merchandise; they were highly stylized, meticulously crafted works of wearable art. Fashioned from precious metals and executed with remarkable attention to form and symbolism, the collection paid homage to the enduring mythology of the Phantom.
Foremost among them were the men’s and women’s editions of the Skull and Good Mark rings, which quickly became prized by collectors—pieces that embody both narrative resonance and exceptional craftsmanship.
