Pocket Watch

The Phantom Pocket Watch was produced by The Bradford Exchange in Australia in 2014. Fully licensed by King Features Syndicate, the Pocket Watch was released with a worldwide limit of only 300.

The Bradford Exchange was established by J. Roderick MacArthur in 1973, a Chicago, USA based businessman and philanthropist. Initially focusing on providing limited-edition collector plates in the 1970’s, The Bradford Exchange quickly expanded it’s offering and not only provide limited-edition collectables, but a vast array of merchandise including dolls, figurines, home décor, fine Jewellery and even apparel. Today, The Bradford Exchange operates in 15 countries across Europe, New Zealand and Australia.

The Phantom Pocket Watch was presented in a deluxe timber case, a ‘The Phantom’ embossed leather belt pouch and a hand-numbered certificate of authenticity. A chain was also provided and is attached to the top of the Pocket Watch.

The Phantom Pocket Watch contains a raised relief of the Phantom on the front of the case, with an individual edition number on the back of the case (from 1 to 300). A Phantom image illustrated by Douglas Klauba is found on the face of the watch with the words, ‘The Phantom – The Man Who Cannot Die’ engraved on the inside of the case.

The Phantom Pocket Watch also came with 6 gloss finished collector cards illustrated by Glenn Ford. On the reverse of the cards, once joined together, we see a map of Bengalla titled ‘Phantom Country’ highlighting the major landmarks found in Phantom comic strips.
