The Phantom Pins were produced by Pinpals in Australia in 1996. The set is made up of 7 pins, produced in Taiwan and sold in retail stores throughout Australia, fully licensed by King Features Syndicate.

The Phantom Pins are made of metal and are all finished in a clear gloss enamel, all varying in size and shape. A silver butterfly clutch clip is found on the rear for the pin to be worn as required. Printed on the back of each pin are the maker of the pins, copyright information and the year of production. The full set of 7 pins can be seen below.

The Phantom Pins were sold in retail stores on a black plastic backing card. A punch hole is found at the top for the pin to be displayed on a shop rack. An example can be seen below.
