The Phantom Movie Promotional Badges were produced by Paramount Pictures in USA in 1996. The badges are fully licensed by King Features Syndicate and are themed around the Phantom movie released in 1996, featuring Billy Zane playing the part of the Phantom and Kristy Swanson as Diana Palmer.
The Phantom Movie Promotional Badges are made up of 4 different images and were used for marketing purposes by Paramount Pictures to promote the Phantom movie. They with given away as complimentary items in retail outlets such as cinemas, movie rental and fast-food retail outlets around the time of the movies release.
The first 2 badges to be released were issued at cinemas through the USA notifying movie goers of the upcoming released of the Phantom movie, with a date prominently printed on the badges, ‘The Phantom – June 7’. The badges are made of tin with a color print found on the front, both rectangular in shape measuring 3″ x 2.75″. A pin is found on the back of the badges designed to be attached to clothing or wearable accessories.




A cross-promotion between Paramount Pictures and Subway fast-food retail outlets throughout the USA saw the released of a badge promoting ‘Free Phantom Tattoos With Any Meal Deal’, to be worn by store employees. The badge is made of tin with a color print found on the front, round in shape measuring 3.5″ in diameter. A pin is found on the back of the badge designed to be attached to clothing or wearable accessories.


A second cross-promotion between Paramount Pictures and Video Store retail outlets (including Blockbuster) throughout the USA saw the released of a badge promoting ‘The Phantom – Adventure For Everyone – Rent It’, to be worn by store employees. The badge is made of tin with a color print found on the front, round in shape measuring 2.25″ in diameter. A pin is found on the back of the badge designed to be attached to clothing or wearable accessories.
