Phantom Masterworks Prints Set 1

The Phantom Masterworks Print Set 1 were produced by 99.94 Editions in Newcastle, Australia in 2000. The set is made up of 4 King Features Syndicate licensed prints in a graphite finish and measure 18.5” x 13.5”. The set is limited to 400 worldwide, with 200 signed by the artists and 200 unsigned.


99.94 Editions is the name of a Newcastle based company run by Dietmar Lederwasch, established in 1997. The name of the company is based on Sir. Donald Bradman’s test cricket average, to reflect whatever 99.94 Editions produces, it will also be the greatest. Dietmar Lederwasch is a long time Phantom fan, producing various Phantom merchandise as well as sets of licensed high quality limited edition prints and posters.


The Phantom Masterworks Print Set 1 were commissioned by Dietmar. The original paintings are from 4 famous artists; Paul McCall, Sy Barry, Glenn Lumsden / Dave deVries and Fred Fredericks and were eventually released in March, 2001. The 4 prints can be seen below.

The Phantom Masterworks Print Set 1 were first advertised on the inside back cover of Frew Publications Phantom comic book number 1279, in 2000.
