The Phantom Anniversary Coffee Mug was produced by Read Bengali Books in Kolkata, India in 2026. Produced in conjunction with the Indian based comic book publisher Shakti Comics, holding the King Features Syndicate license to publish Phantom comic books in the region at the time, the Phantom themed ceramic mug was produced to mark the Phantom’s 90th Anniversary of first appearing in US newspapers on the 17th of February 1936.
The white ceramic mug features a wrap-around design, prominently showcasing a classic, black-and-white noir-style illustration of the Phantom in his civilian disguise, Mr. Walker, wearing a trench coat, fedora, and sunglasses alongside his loyal wolf, Devil. The stark, high-contrast image is set against a backdrop of a vintage streetlamp and fine horizontal line work.

The central portion of the mug displays the title ‘The Phantom’ masthead in bold, red-and-yellow block lettering, complete with the signature skull mark inside the letter ‘P’, as seen on the front cover of Phantom comic books published by Shakti Comics. The words ‘The Ghost Who Walks!‘ is printed beneath this title.
Adjacent to this title is a third panel featuring a brown silhouette of the Phantom mounted on his horse, Hero, accompanied by Devil as they traverse a rugged cliffside, blending both the urban mystery and jungle adventure elements found in Phantom comics.
Adjacent to the ‘Mr. Walker’ image, to the right, is printed the words ‘www.shakticomics.com’.
