Pewter Phantom Bolo Tie

The Pewter Phantom Bolo Tie were produced by Roadshow Variety Products in USA in 1995. Roadshow Variety Products, an American importer and distributor known for producing various belt buckles in the 1990s replicated the Phantom Belt Buckle design originally released by Bandit Belts in Australia in 1989. The bolo tie is fully licensed by King Features Syndicate.

Following it’s release in the US, the Pewter Phantom Bolo Tie was later distributed in Australia, first advertised in 1999 on the inside of Australian Frew Publications Phantom comic book edition number 1239. Below we see the advertisement by The Phantom Zone (a comics and collectibles store) based in NSW, Australia featuring a mail away coupon to purchase the bolo tie.

The Pewter Phantom Bolo Tie features a high-gloss black enamel/cloisonné finish in a triangular shape featuring a profile image of the Phantom surrounded by the Skull and Good Marks. A black leather strap with metal ends was included. Each bolo tie contains trademark and manufacture information on the rear.

The Pewter Phantom Bolo Tie were sold throughout the US and Australia in gift/memorabilia outlets and also via mail away coupons.
