The Phantom Coloring Book was produced by Ottenheimer Publishers, Inc in Maryland, USA in 1965. The coloring book was aimed at young children, which required them to color-in black and white images of scenes containing the Phantom.
Ottenheimer Publishers, Inc was established by brothers Isaac and Moses Ottenheimer in Baltimore, Maryland, USA in 1890 as a publishing house of books. They published a large array of books, including cooking books, joke books, game instructional books, reference books, dictionaries and more.
A large range of story books were also released containing a variety of comic book characters aimed at young children, including The Flintstones, Three Little Pigs, Gulliver’s Travels, Scooby-Doo, Puss In Boots and many more.
Ottenheimer Publishers, Inc ceased operating in 2002.
The Phantom Coloring Book is licensed by King Features Syndicate, with a product number found on the front cover reading 2943-2. Containing 96 black and white pages, the book measures 17.5cm x 27.5cm. The front cover of the coloring book can be seen below.
