The Mr. Walker Phonecard was produced by Telstra Corporation Limited in Australia in 1993. The Phonecards are loaded with telephone calling credit and could be utilized at any Telecom Australia telephone booth across the country. The thin plastic card was simply inserted into the telephone to make a phone call. No King Features Syndicate licensing information is found on the Phonecard.

‘Give Someone A Buzz!’ is the Phonecard series Mr. Walker appears in, with a credit value of $2. The cards were issued on a complimentary basis by Telstra Corporation Limited. The Phonecards Code Number is A950921, which is found on all cards. The Barcode Prefix Number starts with 00807 or 00843, followed by 5 digits which are unique to each card.
Although the Mr. Walker Phonecards were produced in 1993, they weren’t issued to the public until April 1995. 100,000 cards were produced. Below we see the other Phonecards which make up the ‘Give Someone A Buzz!’ series, with each Phonecard holding a different credit value, from $2 all the way up to $20. The Mr. Walker Phonecard is the only card issued complimentary.

The Mr. Walker Phonecard was issued in a full color cardboard folder which was folded in half, holding the Phonecard in 2 cuts made in the folder at time of production. 15,000 of this ‘red’ version of the folder were produced.
A second version of the full color cardboard folder was produced, containing the same graphics on the outside, but this time we see a ‘yellow’ color used on the inside, with instruction on how to use a Telecom Australia telephone.

A third and final version of the full color cardboard folder was produced, containing the same graphics on the outside, again we see a ‘yellow’ color used on the inside, and again with instruction on how to use a Telecom Australia telephone.
We see additional information on this version on the inside, as they were issued at Australia’s first ‘Phonecard Exhibition’ in Scarborough, Australia in January 1996. Each folder is individually numbered at the bottom right and are limited to 500 worldwide. This version was presented to the attendees of the Exhibition in an envelope, which is also numbered, on the bottom left, matching with the folder number within.
A plastic wallet was issued by Telstra Corporation Limited to store your ‘Give Someone A Buzz!’ Phonecard, colored blue with 2 internal see-through pockets.
