The Phantom Mallows Figure was produced by Shocker Toys in USA in 2009. The figure was created for the San Diego Comic-Con held in USA as an exclusive event toy, only available for purchase from the comic convention or online from Shocker Toys.
Shocker Toys was founded by Geoff Beckett Jr in New Jersey, USA in 1998 as a sole proprietorship. They invented the unique action figure system known as the Shockinis in 2004 which were 3 inch action figures intended for customization with multiple points of articulation.
In 2004 Shocker Toys become Incorporated, manufacturing and marketing action figures and licensed properties with toys distributed and sold to major retailers nationwide in the US.
In 2009, Shocker Toys started a new line of marshmallow-themed figures called ‘Mallows’. Similar to Hasbro’s Mighty Muggs and Kidrobot’s Munny and Dunny figures, Mallows features multiple points of articulation, interchangeable parts and were available in blank, black or white, do-it-yourself versions.
Toys produced by Shocker Toys were also sold internationally, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia.
The figure is made of vinyl plastic and comes with fully poseable joints measuring 5.2” x 3.65”. It was sold in a cardboard box with the figure found within housed in a see-through plastic tray. The packaging and design of the Phantom Mallows figure are by Mad Hatter Creative with a limited release of only 500 figures.
