L’Uomo Mascherato Jigsaw Puzzle

The L’Uomo Mascherato Jigsaw Puzzle was produced by Malipiero Editore in Italy in 1979. The 252 piece Jigsaw Puzzle is part of a series of 4 puzzles, with a variety of comic characters found in the set including the Phantom, Flash Gordon, Mandrake the Magician and Pecos Bill.


Malipiero Editore is a publishing house established by Giuseppe Malipiero in Ozzano dell’Emilia, Italy in 1954. Malipiero Editore focused on publishing children’s books, both entertainment and educational editions.

Malipiero Editore also produced puzzles and games in the 1970s.

In 1990, Malipiero Editore was purchased by Franco Cosimo Panini Editore, with a name change occurring, now known as Franco Panini Scuola.


The L’Uomo Mascherato Jigsaw Puzzle was sold in a shrink-wrapped board game style box, with graphics only present on the outside of the lift off lid. Once completed, the Jigsaw Puzzle measures 34cm x 27.5cm.

Found within the box, the 252 pieces which make up the Jigsaw Puzzle are found. The image found on the lid is the image created once the puzzle is completed.
